Common Diseases Associated with Male Pattern Baldness

Recently in the news we have seen the association of Aggressive Prostate Cancer to Male Pattern Baldness.  While the jury is still out on that study many other studies have shown some type of correlation between male pattern baldness and disease.
The body is well made and has its own warning system.  It is for this reason that many scientist believe that all diseases have some form of letting us know that something is not right.  Male pattern baldness has been associated with the following diseases over the years.

Heart Disease:

Heart disease is a lead killer in the world.  This is a condition where the hearts blood supply is reduced due to clogged arteries that are usually brought on through the consumption of fats, especially trans fat.  The link may be brought on because of high hormone levels.  According to Neil Roberts, consultant cardiac surgeon “It may be linked to the complex interaction of male hormones and blood vessel health.  As you know male pattern baldness can be brought on by high level of hormones.

Enlarged Prostate:

Studies have shown that balding men are more prone to prostate cancer.  They are also prone to a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia.  This is a condition in which there is a non-cancerous enlargement of your prostate gland.  This affects 40 percent of men over 50 years of age.  The most common symptoms are difficulty starting or stopping urination, or a weak stream.

Type 2 Diabetes:

This is when your body stops producing insulin, the hormone responsible for controlling sugar in your blood.  Men with this type of diabetes are more likely to be bald.  Experts say the high sugar levels may be responsible for the damaging of delicate blood vessels that supply oxygen to your hair follicles.  Without this steady stream of oxygen hair follicles are susceptible to being damage resulting in hair loss.

Thyroid Problems:

The thyroid gland is misunderstood and underestimated at times.  The thyroid is a gland that can be found in the neck. It is responsible for the regulation of many of the vital functions found in one’s body.  One of those functions is hair growth, so technically a faulty thyroid can result in your losing your hair.

Unfortunately there are some medical conditions that result in you losing your hair.  Luckily, some causes of hair loss can be combated.  For those situations it is best to use an all natural hair loss shampoo like Nettle for hair lossNettle for hair loss helps by removing excessive DHT (dihydrtestosterone). Accessibility for disabled people in Colombia

Some people are born with life-long conditions such as cerebral palsy and spina bifida, whereas others become disabled later in life due to injuries and accidents. Due to an internal armed conflict that has ravaged Colombia for more than half a century; many Colombians have lost one or both legs to landmine explosions.

In fact, Colombia is one of the countries in the world most affected by antipersonnel mines, with more than 10,000 recorded deaths and injuries from landmines since 1990.
In response to the significant amount of Colombians whose access to public spaces is limited, Diego Mauricio Echeverri, a disabled architect currently studying at Colombia’s National University, developed Mapp Colombia, an app that offers accessibility information to enable the mobility of disabled people in Colombia’s cities.

“With this application, Mapp Colombia users are able to catalog and evaluate, for example, if a building or mall has infrastructure in place to facilitate the mobility of disabled people, such as accessible ramps, elevators, restrooms and information desks,” said Echeverri, himself a double-amputee.
Although Echeverri is right in insisting there is still a long way to go in terms of improving wheelchair accessibility to public places and creating accessible architecture, there have been great waves of success in Colombia’s second largest city, Medellin, where nearly every metro station is equipped with wheelchair access. In fact, even the metro’s bus extension system has been designed to accommodate the entry and exit of wheelchairs.

Is Male Pattern Baldness an Early Warning Sign for Prostate Cancer

In the field of medicine one can often find that an ailment is a warning sign of a more serious condition.  The body has a way of warning us of complication that are to come by giving us a preemptive sign.   It might be wise to listen to your body and pay attention to the warning signs.
nettle for hair loss

The latest speculation in the medical field is that male pattern baldness might be a warning sign of prostate cancer.  A new study shows that men with male pattern baldness have a higher risk of developing an aggressive type of prostate cancer than their counter parts.  Keep in mind that the people who have conducted the study note that it is not clear if men with male pattern baldness should be concerned.  The study only goes on to show an association between the two and not necessarily a form of cause and effect.

For those that do not know, male pattern baldness is a pattern of hair loss that begins in the front and back of the head.  You front and crown begin to recede usually resulting in both ends meeting leaving you with a U-shape bald pattern.  This is a result of a lifelong exposure to testosterone in the skin.  According to Dr. Charles Ryan, the amount of testosterone is not necessarily the problem.  The problem lies in the person’s skins ability to process the hormone.

The association is taught to be brought on because of the fact that testosterone also drives prostate cancer.  According to Dr. Charles Ryan this could explain why previous researchers have linked male pattern baldness to prostate cancer.

The study is questionable though especially when you take into consideration that the males that participated in this study between 1993 and 2001 were between the age of 55 and 74.  This is a prime age group for prostate cancer to begin with.

Of course these are all studies.  A more in depth look will have to be taken to see if the study holds water.  One thing is for sure though male pattern baldness does affect a large amount of men.  Taking proper care of your hair and body through the intake of a proper diet and the use of natural treatments like Nettle for hair loss shampoo can help.  Nettle for hair loss has helped countless of men and women battle against hair loss.  If you are in the market for a hair lossshampoo then Nettle for hair loss is the way to go.

Benign Prostate Hyperplasia – When to see a Urologist New York

The prostate gland is located below the bladder and its main role is to produce prostatic fluid secreted during ejaculation. When men reach the age of 60 their chances of being afflicted by benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) increase exponentially and by 85 the percentage of men with BPH increases to 95% but only 33% experience symptoms. Some of the symptoms include: frequent urination or difficulty or even inability to begin a urine stream. As the prostate enlarges there is pressure placed on the urethra which makes it even more difficult for urine to flow, causing the bladder to contract. This is where there is an urge to urinate frequently but there is only minimal urine in the bladder and one of the most severe symptoms is the inability to urinate altogether. The inability to urinate could permanently damage the kidneys in which case visiting a Urologist New York is a necessity.

How is BPH Diagnosed?
If you think you may be experiencing some of the symptoms or just overall problems urinating it might be the time to visit your local urologist new york city. On your first visit your physician will ask questions about your medical history and symptoms you feel you’ve been experiencing. Make sure to tell them how frequently or rarely you feel the urge to urinate and how long this has been like this. Your doctor will then examine your urine under a microscope to detect blood or an infection in your urinary tract or prostate. Your doctor might have to perform a physical examination and since the prostate is an internal organ, the doctor has to feel it with a gloved, lubricated finger into the rectum. This examination allows your doctor to estimate whether it is enlarged or has lumps. This procedure might be a little uncomfortable but it is the best way to identify problems. After the age of 40 it is recommended that all men undergo a prostate exam because you may have BPH and might not even know it.

Urologist New York

How does BPH affect my Lifestyle
For those that are worried about suffering from BPH you need not worry because as mentioned earlier, it is a non cancerous growth of cells and the symptoms (if you experience them at all) can be treated and with breakthroughs in science and medicine, treatment options increase every year. If you feel you’re experiencing symptoms visiting a urology doctor New York City for a prostate exam might be your best bet. If you are over the age 50 you should see a urologist at least once a year, more so if your family has a history of prostate cancer.

Urology Doctor New York City

When is the best time to see a Urologist NYC

Most people that feel they begin to feel symptoms of BPH will go to a general physician but there is only so much a doctor can do before he recommends you see a specialist. If you have blood in your urine, bladder stones or urinary infections the time to see a urologist New York is now. A urologist will study the tests presented to him by your regular physician and ask you about your medical history. Another urinalysis may be necessary as well as a DRE screening. Depending on symptoms additional tests such as blood tests (to detect kidney damage) might be recommended. You might also require a test in which the amount of urine left in the bladder after urinating is tested as well. Every case and patient are different but depending the severity of some of the symptoms a Urologist New York at Luzato Medical Group will tailor a treatment plan for you.

Stinging Nettle: Natural Miracle Drug?

Urtica Dioica, or more commonly known as the Stinging Nettle is a flowering plant which is native to Europe, North Africa, the Americas and Asia.  Stinging Nettle has been used for over 2000 years in numerous homemade remedies.  It is believed that the Stinging Nettle contains unique properties that help in the healing of many ailments.

nettle for hair loss
In ancient times Egyptians were known to use nettle infusion for the relief of arthritis and lumbago pains.  Even till this day many cultures have taken on the ritual of flogging themselves with batches of fresh nettle plants.  This process is called urtification.  It is believed that urtification helps in the treatment of such illnesses as rheumatism, lethargy, coma, typhus, cholera and paralysis.

Nettle extract has been used by many civilizations and cultures to relieve hundreds of ailments.  Stinging nettle has been recognized for its nutritional values as well. It is rich in vitamins and minerals.  The fact that it is freely available throughout fields makes it very common in the diets of people who live in rural and poor areas.

Nettle has also been traditionally used as remedy for scurvy.  Scurvy is a disease that results when a person has a deficiency of vitamin C.  The disease usually starts with symptoms of malaise and lethargy but quickly develops into formation of spots on the skin, spongy gums and bleeding from the mucous membranes.

Only recently has nettle extract been used for hair loss shampoo.  Studies have shown that nettle for hair loss shampoo may help with hair loss by stimulating hair growth and blocking excess DHT.  DHT has for a long time been linked with hair loss and male pattern baldness.  An excess of DHT has been known to attack hair follicles.  Nettle for hair loss shampoo works by inhibiting the effects of DHT.

When using an all natural product like nettle for hair loss shampoo it is recommended that you go with a trusted and experienced company.  That’s why we recommend Nutracare Inc. for all your nettle for hair loss and hair loss shampoo products.  For more information contact Nutracare Inc. today.

8 Things I wish someone had told me about San Francisco

As a 28 year old war veteran and amputee I decided to move to the city by the bay at the end of last year. I had visited San Francisco many years ago and always said to myself that if I begin a life somewhere else, San Francisco would be my top choice. My handicap made me rethink my decision a lot more than a normal person due to the hills and cost of living in California (especially in San Francisco) but I noticed many disabled people who wrote and said wonders of this city. Despite having experience living in a major US city, I noticed San Francisco is quite different from Boston and I’ve been running into quite a lot of surprises (still do). Don’t get me wrong, if you’re considering a move up here it’s a great place to live but here are 10 things I wished someone had told me before I moved.

San Francisco Wheelchair Van Rentals
You are where you live (?)
When telling someone what neighborhood you’re part of, people tend to take it very seriously to the point of actually knowing things about you just because of where you live. Each neighborhood offers something and you can even tell what neighborhood someone comes from because of the bike they ride (almost everyone has a bike-(cycle)). Like any stereotype it’s not an exact science but chances are, you will find a lot of hipsters in the Mission, bros in the Marina and families in Noe Valley.

Cold Weather will Strike down upon you after 4pm
Just because you’re from the Northeast don’t think it doesn’t get cold in California at nighttime. In the northeast regardless of the season if it’s cold in the morning, chances are it will be cold during the day as well, same goes for warmer weather. Here we get haphazard weather to the point that it fog can alter the temperature 10 degrees or so, so be prepared to dress in layers.

Cost of Living
Living in Boston I was used to saving a good percentage of my paycheck but here it’s a different story due to skyrocketing rent and taxes. Finding a decent apartment is quite difficult and finding one that is within your means might take a good amount of time of research before you even move here.

It is more Accessible than I thought
Santa Rosa Wheelchair Van Rentals
Upon moving here I needed to get around and I saw California the way I hadn’t before with a wheelchair van rental company called Wheelers Van Rentals. Their SanFrancisco Wheelchair Van Rentals service allowed me to take in the sights before I moved and I saw that there are always fun activities for everyone. There are always random festivals, concerts and cultural events going on. It’s impossible to not get drawn to something you didn’t expect and major props to the city for how often they lend the streets to impromptu performances.

Home to a Significant Number of Crackheads

There are definitely bad parts in San Francisco and although they show you a very culturally diverse city with a lot of emphasis on change there are some ugly parts as well. The sectors with crime are tenderloin and civic center which happen to be right in the middle of the city. Market Street and Union Square are right on the border of the rough areas which is normal for you to run into a crackhead or two asking you for money on your way to work.

Learn about MUNI
San Diego Wheelchair Van Rentals
MUNI is the bus system utilized in San Francisco that most San Franciscans have strained relationships with on a daily basis. Keep these tips in mind to avoid mishaps in the future. Also, the trolleys aren’t all wheelchair friendly.
·         Don’t listen to Google Maps when they indicate ETAs of busses. I’m not telling you to drop Google Maps altogether but just don’t depend on it to tell you what time your bus will arrive because you’re going to have a bad time.
·         Add time to your trip if you know your bus will be heading through Chinatown. San Francisco’s Chinatown is one of the biggest in the United States and going by here indicates numerous stops and people cramming to get in or out.

If you love food, you’ve come to the right place
Rumor has it that San Francisco has enough restaurants so that everyone in the entire city can be eating at one and be seated simultaneously.

Sports aren’t as big as they are in the Northeast
When I first moved here being a huge Red Sox fan I assumed that I was never going to hear the end of it be the locals but such is not the case. The weather her allows there to be a ton of things to do all day everyday so sports aren’t the center of attention.

PE Treatment that Stops You From Asking: How Do I Last Longer in Bed?

Over the years we have seen a lot of funding going into the development of PEtreatment.  With so many men asking the question, “How do I last longer in bed” it is no wonder that so much emphasis has been put in this field.  PE treatment can vary from person to person.  There have been many theories developed over the year.  Some suggest that quick masturbation during the adolescence(as to not get caught) has cause men with this problem to develop a quick ejaculation reflex.  Others have suggested that performance anxiety might be the culprit or even having too little sex.

How do I last longer in bed

So how do I last longer in bed? You might be asking.  With more than 33 percent reporting as having premature ejaculation men are starting to look for effective PE treatment.  In developing a proper PE treatment many have found obstacles due to the fact that what is considered as premature to some couples is not the case with others.  The formal definition of premature ejaculation is any ejaculation that regularly occurs sooner than desired.

After years of research doctor Dr.Harry Fisch (a board-certified urologist and Clinical Professor of Urology )has developed a product which answers the question “how do I last longer in bed”.  With the great strides in PE treatment Dr. Fisch has developed Preboost.  Preboost is a topical PE treatment.  Preboost works by slowing down a man’s sexual response, this is achieved through the use of a topical anesthetic that produces a desensitization of the skin. The active ingredient is Benzocaine, a product that has been around since its introduction in 1902.  It has been used in countless products as an effective and safe ingredient.

Unlike other products Preboost does not inhibit your sex life.  Preboost is applied through pre moistened wipes which gives you total control over how much or how little you apply.  While some men may apply it over the shaft and head of their penis some may feel more comfortable with only applying it to the head.  The choice is yours.  Contact Preboost today and try out this new revolutionizing PE treatment and lay that age old question “how do I last longer in bed” to rest.

Disney World

Walt Disney World Resort or simply Disney World is an entertainment complex found in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The resort opened way back in 1971 and since then has been one of the most frequented vacation spots in the world, receiving almost 53 million people annually. It was designed to supplement the preexisting Disney Land in Anaheim built in 1955 and has been a huge success popularizing the Disney universe. It is important to point out that there are a few theme parks that form part of the resort along with other attractions that are associated with Disney World. Millions have visited but some of us (me included) did not know what parks exactly make up the resort. So we will discuss the theme parks and attractions that make up Disney World. Every theme park and attraction is fully accessible and welcomes everyone regardless of physical or mental disability. Luckily there are companies such as  Wheelers Accessible Van Rentals that offer Florida Wheelchair Van Rentals to make your trip easier.

Florida Wheelchair Van Rentals
Magic Kingdom
First things first, Magic Kingdom is the most popular and talked about theme park in the Disney Universe. Its Cinderella Castle is frequented in more Facebook pictures than most landmarks I’ve ever seen and it is shown at the start of any Disney movie.  Here children take pictures with every Disney character and enjoy rides at Adventureland, Fantasyland, Frontierland and Tomorrowland.

Epcot
Epcot is pretty much a letdown after having visited Magic Kingdom but it is still one of the most visited theme parks in the world. It is more for adults than for children and it is often referred to as the permanent world’s fair. It is used as a tribute to technological innovation and represented by Spaceship Earth, a geodesic sphere that serves as an attraction.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Previously known as MGM Studios Park and it is the third of the four theme parks built at the Walt Disney World Resort and it was opened in 1989. This park is dedicated to show business and remembering Hollywood back in the 1930s and 1940s. It is fun for the whole family but more for adults that get to see attractions such as old Hollywood Boulevard and streets of old America. But perhaps its most known attraction is the headquarters to Pixar Studios. It’s home to the Hollywood Tower Hotel attraction and the Rock n Roll Coaster ride.

Animal Kingdom
As the name implies, Animal Kingdom takes its visitors on a safari unlike any they’ve seen before. The safaris resemble those African Safaris and animals such as Elephants, Lions and giraffes among others. Over the years there have been additions to the park that includes the Asian Safari, Rafiki’s planet watch and Dinoland USA. This theme park creates the illusion that you are in different parts of the world both real and fictional.
Florida Wheelchair Van Rentals
These are the most frequently visited places within the Disney Universe always ranking among the top ten visited parks in the world. Its wide array of activities and diversity of people and attractions makes us wish Disney World was the world. Disney has also raised awareness and made all of its parks wheelchair friendly and welcomes all families. Wheelers Accessible Van Rentals helps you plan these trips so all you have to worry about is picking the date. Wheelers offers wheelchair van rentals, scooter rentals and wheelchair rentals to help you get to these destinations. They provide state of the art vans and with free airport pick-up and curbside delivery, they make your job a lot easier. For FloridaWheelchair Van Rentals, contact Wheelers today.

Florida in a Nutshell

Two years ago when I told my family my girlfriend and I were moving to Florida, my news was met with controversy. I was bombarded with questions mostly starting with “Why on earth would you do that?” Being Boston natives and having to tolerate harsh winters and extremely hot summers we had good arguments as to why we no longer wished to live there. I spent the first 25 years of my life up in the north east and after landing a job in Tampa I realized it was time for a change. I was warned by friends and family how hot Florida is (granted most people had just been to Orlando and at theme parks during the summer) and how miserable we were going to be. I was also warned about the poor transportation and how hard it was going to be to commute with Katie (Katie is my girlfriend and she happens to be partially paralyzed). Despite all of these warnings we were still quite eager. We looked for Florida Wheelchair Van Rentals and found a company we really liked. Almost instantly we received an answer and in no time embarked on a journey that began our lives in completely new place.

The truth is there is no perfect place to live and wanting to emancipate was as good a reason as any. Every state and city has its positives and negatives and there are other more important factors than weather.  The perfect city is a myth but since day one, Florida has been the utopia described in Huxley’s Island. Here are a few things Katie and I have discovered since moving to the sunshine state:

Don’t let the nickname fool you!
Despite being referred to as the sunshine state, it is not always sunny nor is it always warm! There are many days of rain and not just a few hours of rain, I mean real rain. Like in any tropical destination, we have had whole days of rain in which a good movie and kettle corn is a must! The weather also gets cold, not north east cold (you can keep your north face jacket locked away, you will not be needing it) but sweaters might be required. Katie and I made the mistake of keeping our autumn and winter apparel back in Boston and boy did we regret it. I know you guys up in St. Paul Minnesota might be reading this and saying “cute” but if you come down here with the idea that it’s going to be 100 degrees every day, you’re in for a treat. We have suffered 30 degree nights which doesn’t compare to Boston but this is still worthy of your best fleece.

You won’t be the only ones from out of state
Upon moving, Katie and I thought that due to her condition and our conspicuous Bostonian accent (we’re not too proud of it) we would be easily spotted but that wasn’t the case. Florida is a haven for out of state foreigners looking to start over, just like us. Despite being accessible, Katie has found many activities that we have been able to do on our free time and with couples just like us, there is always something to do. In our two years here we have met very few born and raised Floridians. We thought it was going to be full of retirees and older couples but that is a common misconception, there are many families looking to relocate as well.

Boredom is not an option
Not into theme parks? Not a problem, Florida has thousands of locations and activities for the whole family. Stray from the beaten path and go on tours that are frequented by locals and not the hackneyed touristy stuff most of us have grown to loathe. Being an accessible couple we can’t do EVERYTHING but Florida has opened its doors to us and there have been very few things we can’t do. From culinary adventures, breweries and recreational parks there are tons of opportunities that we can take part in to really see the state. Florida’s cities aren’t as fast paced as the big cities up north (with the exception of Miami) so you will see the difference almost instantly.

Its been almost two years since we moved here and believe me, we’ve never looked back. Initially, I believed that getting around (before my accessible van arrived) was going to be tough. On the contrary thanks to companies that rent out their vehicles made just for families with a handicapped relative getting around turned out to be one of the easiest things to do. We used Wheelers Accessible Van Rentals. Wheelers is a company that offers wheelchair van rentals, wheelchair and scooter rentals in all 50 states. They provided us with free airport pick-up upon arrival and curbside delivery. Wheelers made our trip so much easier and getting around the first month was a breeze. If you’re looking to move down south or just planning an annual trip, be sure to check them out. They have pretty low rates and know the industry well having been around since 1987. Florida Wheelchair Van Rentals, North Carolina WheelchairVan Rentals are just some of the services they offer. We used them and here we are almost two years hence and trust me, we do not miss the snow or the cold!

Septic Tank Horror Stories

We’ve all heard the horror stories when it comes to Septic Tanks.   I’m not saying all of these stories have been fabricated but some of them are just so horrifying that I prefer to not believe what I am told.  I guess the saying is true “Ignorance is bliss”.

Oh the Horror!
*Some names and identifying details have been changed to protect the privacy of individuals.

Take the story of my friend “Jim”.  This story starts off beautifully enough.  Jim was engaged to get married to Lily.  Jim and Lily had recently moved into a spacious house out in the suburbs of New York.  With tons of open space in their backyard they opted to throw their wedding in their home.  This story is a perfect example of life mimicking art.  Remember that scene from “Meet the Parents” where Ben Stiller’s Character overflows the septic system which then leads to sewage bubbling out of the ground resulting in the downfall of the wedding.  Yeah this has actually happened to someone before, and I’ll tell you this, it’s not as funny when it happens in real life.  It turns out Jim never bothered to run a cleaning on the tanks when he moved in.  That and the fact that 20 people were staying in his home made for a disastrous situation.

Then there’s John who came home to a frantic dog.  Upon opening his door John felt a strong odor (similar to swamp gas is how he puts it) hit his face.  Not knowing what to make of it John ran down to his basement where he found his 6 month old pup perched on the sofa barking out for help.  Turns out Johns basement was flooded with sewage.  Upon going upstairs John realized that sewage was oozing out of his pipes as well.  I can’t even imagine coming home to a scene that is reminiscent of a Stephen King novel.

Why oh why did this happen to me!?!?

The truth is these horror stories could have been avoided.   By following some simple guidelines these guys along with so many others could have avoided becoming a victim of this foul smelling problem.

  1. Try to minimize the disposal of oils as this may block your grease trap leading to clogging of your pipes and overflow.
  2.  Chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides and even bleach have been known to damage the components of septic tanks. Some chemicals like Silver Nitrate are able to kill off whole cultures of bacteria needed for the system to operate
  3. Be aware of shrubs and trees close to your pipes.  Roots have been known to rupture pipes leading to flooding.
  4. Do not flush non bio-degradable products down the toilet.  Cigarette butts, tampons and cotton swabs will collect and with time clogging your system.
  5. Garbage disposal systems are not ideal when using a septic tank.  Food that has not been properly broken down can with time build up causing blockage.

Jones Septic Service to the rescue!

The idea of having to flush out one’s own septic system is enough to make anyone coward. Let’s face it, this task is better off left to the professionals.  So why not contact Jones Septic Services for Septic PumpingAmenia NY, Septic Pumping Hopewell NY and Septic Pumping Red Hook NY services.

Hair Loss Shampoo Through History: Did It Work?

Hair Loss Shampoo Through History: Did it Work?

2000 BC: More than four thousand years ago men and women were struggling with hair loss just as they do today. The ancient Egyptians left behind paintings of men with receding hairlines and thinning hair. Their treatment of choice was a concoction which included fat of a lion, parts of a hippopotamus, snake, and crocodile. There is no scientific evidence that supports the functionality of this motley brew… but can you blame them for trying? This is the first recorded attempt to create a hair loss shampoo.

50BC: During the times of the ancient Roman dynasty hair loss and hair thinning was prevalent. One notable Roman afflicted with hair loss and hair thinning was Julius Caesar. Despite being the conqueror and leader of the empire, this ruler was not immune to the chronic condition of hair loss. To treat his symptoms, Caesar styled his hair into a comb over combined and added chicken dung. The world’s most powerful man at time was using an archaic version of hair loss shampoo.

1900: Fast forward to modern times and the hair loss treatments have changed quite a bit. Despite the modernization of medicine, even during the early 1900’s hair loss therapies were no more effective than the ones used by Egyptians and Romans. For example a common procedure was to put harsh chemicals on the scalp of those inflicted with hair loss. Then once blisters formed, it was expected that hair loss would cease. Despite the novel attempts, this practice often had the opposite effect and turned the person with thinning hair completely bald

1900-1950: Though modern medicine made strides forward, hair loss treatments did not progress to anything more effective. The common treatment during the early 20th century was electricity. A medical professional would essentially shock the afflicted person’s head with pulsing electricity in an attempt to stimulate hair growth. The thought was that if static electricity made hair stand up, then more electricity would force hair to grow. A variation on this treatment gained a second wind in the early 1990’s but is by no means a common hair loss treatment anymore today.

2014: Today there are a variety of hair loss procedures that take place. Some are no more than variations of the treatments that took place historically and others are entirely new. There are hair transplants, laser treatments and of course hair loss shampoos. Hair loss shampoo is a natural, non-surgical treatment for thicker and healthier hair. NutraCare’s hair loss shampoo, conditioner and lotion are formulated from the nettle plant which grows naturally around the world and has been used medicinally for centuries.

An Effective and Painless Contraceptive Method For Men

The no scalpel vasectomy is a simple and highly effective medical procedure for preventing unwanted pregnancies in the future. Since its original development in China in 1974 and introduction to the United States in 1984 the no scalpel vasectomy has grown rapidly in popularity. The key reason for this increase in popularity is due to its success rate and various benefits which make the procedure far more attractive than the traditional vasectomy method. The no scalpel vasectomy’s benefits include: less, hematoma, bleeding, pain, infection and a far shorter operative as well as recovery time. Vasectomy doctors and vasectomy specialists also report ten times fewer complications and a 40% to 50% faster recovery when compared to the traditional technique.
The process of the no-scalpel vasectomy begins with a more effective and less painful technique to anesthetize the scrotum and vas. This technique does not involve a needle and uses a specialized jet injection tool. Next a tiny key sized hole is made in the scrotum with a sharp tool called a hemostat by vasectomy specialists. The hole is stretched using a special tool and the vas deferentia are pulled through it one at a time in order to be properly sealed. The procedure is considered a painless vasectomy.
