Current Technologies Lead Us into the Future

NPR’s TED radio hour is a radio show focusing on fascinating ideas, astonishing inventions and new ways to think and create. In the episode titled “Predicting the Future” they discuss what the next big technology will be.

Todd Humphreys a key speaker in this discussion says that, “Whatever the next thing is going to be, will be at the interface of silicon and biology. It isn’t going to be the iPhone 7 or the Internet 2. We’re going to see things happen that are astonishing” (TED 13-9-13).  Humphreys is saying that the future of our society isn’t going to be a vast change, but rather the dynamic optimization of what we already have.

The dynamic optimization of our future is already taking place, and it is closer than most probably realize. The integration of our systems into an easily accessible interface is something that the Hudson Valley has thrived with for decades. The astonishing invention that the TED talk features sheds light onto the work that Cyber Technologies has done for years. They are systems integration experts and work to fully automate homes and commercial buildings.

Cyber technologies works at the cross roads of the past and the future. They have not invented the next iPhone or the next internet, they have however, simplified these technologies so that even the most technologically challenged has the tools to exploit their potential. According to the featured speakers at TED, who pick out the most amazing ideas in our culture, the biggest idea is already here. It exists under our noses and milking it dry is how we will progress into the future of technology. The internet at our fingertips is incredible so why not integrate the systems at your home and live the future.

It is the systems that we use every day that will change our lives. We rely on our fire alarms for the safety of our family and colleagues, we rely on CCTV to monitor our properties and we use home theaters to relax after a long day. These technologies are decades or centuries old but having them on your handheld? That is next step. Knowing exactly how safe your belongings are throughout your time away is the future. The cutting edge of technology is integrating these systems to our smarthphones and tablets and even our mp3 players so we can extract the value of them. With existing technology we can save millions of dollars every year on energy and be better protected from burglaries and break-ins.

Joining the “next internet” or getting your hands on the “next iPhone” isn’t even a difficult thing to do. Integrating the existing systems of your home is simpe when you let Cyber Technologies service your home or business. The technicians come out to your property to offer a free quote.
